My Summer Faves 2010

These are my essentials for this summer.......

I have been really into coral these past couple of months especially in my make-up

Blush from Coastal Scents 42 Double Stack Matte palette

I still havent found the perfect coral lipstick so until then I have a combo I use which is Revlon Soft Nude and Palladio lipgloss in Apricot

Im usually not into neutral eyeshadows but I have been reaching for bronzy colors lately. I think it looks nice with bright pastely colors.

Ive had this necklace for a LOOOOONG time couldnt even tell ya where I got it from. I like it because it has a beachy theme to it. The oval shaped beads are coral and orange, and the small beads are metallic. There are also white shells, just really pretty.

So my legs are beyond pale. I dont self tan and do not have the time to go tanning. So capris are just what works for me to keep me cool. I LOVE these pants they look worn out and the cuffed part is cute.

OF course you need gladiator sandals! I love these because of the flowers and the metallic bronze color coordinates with my makeup. haha

For my hair I just been doing beachy waves. Its just a nice messy look thats not so time consuming like curls. Add a headband and Im out the door.

What are your absolute must haves for this summer?

Also soooo sorry for my background. I keep changing it cuz they expire so fast. If anyone knows of a good site please let me know. Thank you

Tresemme Heat Tamer Protective Spray

While my sister was down here she let me try her Tressemme heat protectant spray. As Ive mentioned before I swear by Nexxus heat protectant spray. So I wanted to give it a comparison. I used Tresemme spray for about 2 weeks and found that the product was good. It protected my hair and smelled nice. It smelled something in between a womans perfume slash shampoo. It cost less than Nexxus spray. Yet unfortunatly I still stand by Nexxus. It didnt detangle my hair or give me volume like Nexxus spray. It is still a good alternative to Nexxus if you cant find it where you live.

What hair products could you not live without besides shampoo and conditioner?

FOTD&OOTD

On Saturday night my mother in law offered to babysit the kids so that we could go have a date night. OF COURSE we accepted! Havent had much alone time since Kyla entered our lives. We ate at Texas Roadhouse and watched Inception (a must see movie. I wanted to look a lil extra special. I wore my skinny jeans with a silk shirt with rhinestones. Wore my hair differently and had bronze makeup on. It was a nice night outfit for the summer.

I really wanted to keep the makeup soft and romantic. I chose colors from my shirt, like the gold and orange.
Face:
Neutrogena Healthy skin foundation in Classic Ivory
Coastal Scents concealer in light

Eyes
Coastal Scents Matte Palette: Orange, Dark Brown
I used the brown for my crease and lid and used the orange to blend it out
On the center of my lid I put a bronze color for a dramatic effect
NYC-Brown liner
MAC fluid liner for my water line
Loreal Volumnious Mascara in the color Brown/Black

Cheeks
Coastal Scents Matte Palette-Blush in the color Orange
Rimmel Bronzer
Physicians Formula Bronzer- I just did the top 2 colors on the palette for a gold highlight

Lips
Revlon-Soft Nude

My Eventful Weekend

My weekend was really eventful and I wanted to share with you guys. As I mentioned before my sister and her son has come to visit me to see my baby girl Kyla. I wanted to make her stay fun since it is her only vacation time. Now I live in a small town so I had to be REALLY creative. She had been DYING to see Twilight so I had my husband babysit the kids while we watched it. Surprisingly enough, I really liked it. They have definetly improved on their graphics and acting skills.

Getting a little hungry we went to eat at Jack in the Box. She doesnt have one near where she lives....poor thing. I couldnt live without their curly fries.

Saturday night we went dancing at a club 5 minutes away from where I live called Rendevous. My sister and I LOVE to dance and getting all dolled up. For being a small club it sure was a lot of fun!

Sadly my sister left today and Im going to miss her like crazy. It was nice having her around. I hope she had as much fun as I did and enjoyed her stay. This upcoming weekend I will just be getting back a groove on my new life and of course catching up on some much needed SLEEP!!!

What are your plans for this weekend?

Clothes Haul

Not being so swollen anymore and almost right back to my normal size. I have been so excited about buying clothes, a little toooo much. The word SALE is VERY VERY seductive. Why are there so many sales going on in the mid of July? Not that Im complaining. I wanted to share with you a couple of my finds!
I saw this shirt and fell in love. It was so elegnant and sophistaceted with a sassyness to it. I thought it was perfect for going out that night. The store was closing so I got it for half price as well! ;)

I dont have a Forever 21 where I live BUT there is a Rue 21 and its pretty close in comparison, although Rue 21 is for both boys and girls. They were having a 3,5,8 dollar sale.
I saw this shirt and thought it looked so comfy but I could wear it on a day out like a date with my hubby. Plus being such a girly girl Im a sucker for sparkly things. This was just 3 bucks!

The colors on this shirt is what stood out to me the lime green and turquise were just so pretty. The shirt also included the belt. This shirt cost me 8 dollars.

In the same 8 dollar rack I found this cardigan. I liked that it was light weight but yet warm. Perfect for the days when its raining as it is monsoon season here. I can do SO many things with this cardigan. I cant wait to wear it.

I baptized both my children last Sunday and needed a dress. I thought this dress would be acceptable for church but still be sassy, and I adored the colors. I found this dress at Ross and it cost me $12.00.

Peacock Nails

Last weekend I took my my whole family to the zoo. My son learned all the animals name so it was only necessary to see them up close and personal. He LOVED it! I had so much fun but MAN is it exhausting. Anyways I was really taken by the colors of the peacock. I found two nailpolishes and made a color and it came out a beautiful blue with a turquise shine. Applying Sally Hansen Blue me away and topping it off with NYC 206B.

This is how it turned out...

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Foundation

Needing a new foundation since my skintone seems to have changed. I thought I try neutrogena healthy skin foundation. Im in the color Classic Ivory. Ive been wearing this foundation for about 2 weeks now and I must say that I really like it. It matches my skin color prefectly, it gives me a dewy finish and it smells REALLY good. The smell is a fresh perfume and something citrus. Really unique. I dont know if it makes my skin look healthy, for these days I have been having bad breakouts but it certainly gives me a glow. A little on the negative side is that it is on the runny side. I will definetly purchase this item again.

Sushi

Being pregnant for 9 months wasnt easy. Besides all the stuff that happens when your pregnant, the getting fat, the nausea, feet swelling etc. there were also all these restrictions. No alcohol and cant certain cheeses, plus my absolute fave....SUSHI!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE sushi. All kinds, rainbow roll is my favorite. So the second I got the chance I went to my favorite sushi restaurant in my town. Its a hibachi grill. I just think they are so much fun. The chiefs playing with fire, tossing there knifes in the air, and how they chop there vegatables so fast.If you just want sushi and you have a big group of people they put you in a room with a big table and the surrounding is really peaceful and has beautiful decortaions. I just love everything about it. They give you meso soup with your meal. I just indulged myself in the one of the best meals I had in a while. Cant wait to go back!

Do you like sushi or enjoy hibachi grills?
