Herbal Essence Review

I have been using Pantene Pro-V volumizing shampoo and conditioner and REALLY liked it. But since I like switching it up with my hair products I tried the Herbal Essence Body Envy. Ive always been a fan of Herbal Essence but Ive only used the kind for color treated hair. So they have won me over again!!! This product smells sooo good. The both have a citrus smell, except the conditioner it has a citrus and vanilla smell to it. It does leave your smelling good too not very strong though. But it definetly gets the job done, my hair does have the extra omph to it. It lfet hair feeling bouncy and with more body. 2 thumbs UP!!

A Little Piece of Heaven

A lot of my favorite things have always come and go but there is 1 thing that never has failed me and it is my favorite meal at a restaurant since I was 7. Red Lobster Ultimate Feast. It brings crab legs, 2 kinds of shrimp and a lobster tail plus a side of choice. I always have the baked potato with sour cream and butter. It is a BIG meal but for some reason always leaves me just wanting more. I cant even choose which is my favorite part because each bite is bliss. PLUS the bread in Red Lobster is beyond yummy. With the garlic and cheese combo its the best breadbasket hands down. If I was granted one last meal on earth this would be it! Whats your favorite meal?

Target Haul:Chapsticks

In my search of finding the perfect chapstick I think I found it, Soft Lips. The package came with 2 chapsticks Soft Lips in pearl and vanilla. Vanilla has SPF 20 in it. The application goes on smoothly and it kinda tingles on your lips. It is clear and doesnt show like you have anything on. It smells like vanilla and vicks so that is the only downside of it. Now the Pearl is a tinted lip conditioner. It is pink with silver glitter flicks on it and it actually does show on your lips. The pink shows up like a frost. It has SPF 15 in it. The smell is AMAZING! To me it smells like strawberries. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this chapstick. And for both it cost 2.99.

I also got Burt's Bees in honey. And I was not impressed with this lip balm. Maybe I got the wrong flavor, I dont know what. But I really dont see whats the buzz about. First of all it smells AWFUL! I cant even describe it, like wax and something really bad. It applies kind of rough and it feels gritty on my lips. It does sort of moisturize my lips after applying a lot on. But the smell of it bugs me way too much and it also taste bad. It also cost me 2.99. I will NOT buy this balm again.

Target Haul

The other day I had went to yet another place to register for my baby shower. I think its best to give my friends options ya know. Not all of them live near a babies r us and where I live Target has the best baby stuff. So when I was done registering I realized I had use the last of all my hairspray that day so I went to go buy some. Then just went kinda crazy at the cosmetics aisle. All of these products I have NEVER tried. So I will give each a quick review and swatches once I have tried them. Have you tried any of these products? What did you think of them?

Next Day Curls

Woke up wearing yesterday curls and dont feel like wearing your average ponytail well here is something new. A real simple side ponytail will look cute and be really easy to do. All I did was brush my hair towards the side and used my clear elastic for the ponytail. I took 2 strands from the front and curled them out. Then added a skinny hairband. Perfect for the spring and summer!

Spring Glow

Today I decided to get out of the house and get some errands done. It looks like its going to rain outside so I just wore my up. I saw a hairstyle I wanted to try and it didnt even come close to the one in the pic. I have thin hair so things just look flat and i dont like to use a lot of products in my hair. Oh well I tried and ended up liking it anyway. I also was in the "springy" mood so I wore a sunflower yellow top. For the first time in my life wore yellow eyeshadow. And this was the look....

I used the 88 shimmer palette from Coastal Scents. Unfortunatly the yellow didnt show up as bright as I wanted. It was almost a yellow gold but its ok it just made the look subtle.
By the way Im not driving while taking these photos. I was in the Jack in the Box drive thru...that took forever. BUT i LOVE there curly fries.

Sausage, Shrimp and Chicken OH MY!

Went baby registering with the Mother in Law. Which is soooo much fun. Especially the apparel section ;) After all that scanning and going back on forth through the whole store we got hungry. So we went to Mimi's Cafe. First of all the bread basket itself is AMAZING. You get an arrangment of muffins and sourdough bread. My favorite muffin was the gingerbread with raisisns and nuts, so yummy. I ordered the Jambalya. The are not stingy with the portions. I got enough food to feed the table!! It was insane but very tasty. Not too spicy and not so saucy. Definetly something I will order again.

Coach Lover

Im not much for brand things. Really I think its so much better too look like a million bucks when really you are just making a 30 dollar outfit look fierce! But Coach is my weakness, and it really makes a nice investment. They never go out of style, they stay in the neutral side of things to match EVERYTHING. I had my first one 3 years ago and I still rock it. Well my husband gives me a Coach purse every Christmas, last year he got me 2. This year I want my very first pair of coach shoes. I dont have many heels so these would fit nicely in my collection. Especially the first 2, I dont have any nudes.

I like how they are classy but yet I can still wear them with casual wear. Is there a brand that you cant get enough off?

Crazy Waves

Ive had the Vidal Sassion barrel iron for a while. It supposed to create wavy curls or retro waves. Today I decided to do a new method with them instead of clamping section after section. I weaved sections of my hair to the iron bar then I clamped it. I had to use a glove to prevent from burning my hand, which I had done at first. It was VERY difficult to get the hang of it, but it just made each piece of hair different. Once I was done with the iron I flipped my hair and scrunched it up with working spray.

Battle of Mascara's

Im not much for mascaras, I used to just wear them for special occasions. I hate that they clunk and how careful you have to be while putting them on. One blink and you have black liquid all over your lid. But I do think they make your lashes stick out and really bring a dramatic effect to your make-up look. The first mascara that I have ever owned was the CoverGirl Lash Blast.

Everybody raved about it so I tried it. And I was not happy with it. First of all the brush is rubber with rubber bristles. It is also really big. The formula is ok, it doesnt do an incredible job of curling my lashes but it does go on smoothly. I think its ridiculously hard to put it on my lower lashes. I also dont like that the cap is big as well, makes getting into my inner lashes hard. I dont know how many times I have slipped up. I give it a C-.

So after a while of using it I knew it was time for a new mascara. So I chose to try LOREAL Voluminous Original mascara in the color black brown.

So far the product is ok. It does give some volume to my lashes. I like the bristles, its just a regular brush nothing special. The few things I dont like about it is the extra formula that comes out of the brush everytime you take out. Im always scraping the formula off at the top. And I have noticed that it clumps. So I rate this product a B. For it does give me volume and is ok with separation.

Now Im not sure if I will ever repurchase this items again. But until I finish them Im using them both together I find it really makes the perfect combo. I put on LOreal first, for the volume and the Covergirl for separating them and taking out the clumps. Both together I give it a A-. Makes my lashes look like falsies!

Chopped Lips=Chapstick

I have the biggest problem with my lips. They are always so dry and chapped. My husband bought Nivea for himself but I decided to give it a try. Of course Im not too impressed by it. It has a weird texture and while it does moisturize it doesnt for long. I have used Cherry Chapstick for the longest time, which moisturizes my lips but leaves a burning sensation. Plus its super addictive on my lips. The best thing that seems to be working is Mary Kay satin lips. I feel like it heals my lips but leaves that sticky white stuff on my lips. So I am on a search of that perfect chapstick or lip balm. Any suggestions?

P.S. The title is an inside joke

My Future Goal

Ive been a housewife for about 2 years now and even though my husband doesnt really want me to go back to work I know its not my desire to be a domestic goddess my whole life. I love what Im doing but its while my children are young. Unfortunatly though my knowing what I want to be in life is what holding me back. When I was a preteen I knew when I grew up I wanted to be a fashion designer. That was my plan all the way up to when I had graduated from high school. Until I had went to a fashion school I realized it really was not what I wanted to do. I suck at drawing and can not stand to sew. It was later in life that I realized I was more of a stylist then a designer. But stylist until well known really dont have a high income. So its something Im not going to pursue. So these past couple of years Ive been contemplating on what it is I really like to do. There is lots but there is one thing that seems to stick and that is taking photos. I LOVE ADORE taking photos and playing around in photoshop. My husband calls me the camera notzi cuz everywhere I go I take my camera with me. So I have decided to take a photography class see how that goes and see what I can get out of it. I think it will be good for me because I can use it in soooo many fields. Wedding photographer, family portraits, etc. And if I chose not to take that path then at least I know how to take a good photo and develop them myself. I have no idea when to take up this class. But it is something Im definetly going to look into and Im REALLY excited about it.
