Im Going To Miss You Tyra

My biggest role model in life is Tyra Banks. She has done so much and she isnt even 40 yet! She has taped herself in almost everything and I find her absolutly amzing. I watched her show religiously everyday for as long as I can remember. Really cant believe its been that long since I have been watching her show. I Tivo it and everything. Today was her final episode and it broke my heart. This show has showed me so much from beauty to relationship advise, to friend relationships to baby tips. Her show while very entertaining inspired me. Ive gain so much self confidence and knowledge from this show. It opened my eyes to new things and made me re-evalute certain parts of my life. I know there are many other daytime shows but there was nothing like Tyra Show. No other talk show host builds self-esteem and talk about real issues like her. I just want to say thank you Tyra and I can not wait to read your book and watch your movies. Thank you!

Fierce, Peace and Love

Went to Forever 21 to find a necklace to wear on my baby shower. Found this beautiful necklace with a whole bunch of charms on it. A pink flower, a butterfly, to hearts and a pink stone. It is super girly. Im a sucker for hearts and butterflies!!

Then found this ring that said LOVE, it was unique for it is meant to put on 2 of your fingers. I LOVE this ring and less than $3.

Then my mother in law got this adorable suit for my baby from Carter's.

Makeup for Less than $5

Went to WalMart and picked up a bronzer. Since I forgot to get one last time I had went out. My Wal-Mart doesnt carry very much NYC products so I decided its time I try out a new bronzer.I picked the lightest matte shade Rimmel carried called Sunlight. I remember I wanted to wear a baby pink nailpolish to wear for my baby shower so I picked up Love from Pure Ice. It was only 2 dollars!!! I dont go all out on nailpolish I am constantly doing the dishes, washing my sons hands that nailpolish ALWAYS comes off in like 2 days. From NYC I thought I try a lipstick called Rose petal and a white eyeliner. White eyeliner is supposed to brighten up your eyes when put on your waterline.

I am enjoying my Rimmel bronzer. It reminds me a lot of NYC in Sunny. I must say though I find myself blending it a lot more than sunny. Im so fair skinned I have to watch it with bronzer. Rimmel bronzer was 2 dollars more than NYC sunny. NYC eyeliner is not the best for your waterline BUT it works on my tear duct area which is fine as well. I apply it before putting on my eyeshadow. Its really creamy but it does seem to want to stay for long. Rose Petal is a berry red and is highly pigmented.

Each item was less than 5. Most were $2 ;)

Loreal Paris Hairspray Experience

I got this hairspray at Target. I have used it for about a month now and really like it. It left my hair soft and flowy. You can run your fingers through your hair. In a hairspray thats pretty amazing. The best part no matter how much you spray it will not crisp. It kept my hair curly all day. Im very impressed, all in all GREAT hairspray.

Skinny Headbands

Found these pretty headbands at Ross. $2.99 for 3. They come in neutral colors and are braided. The silver is a bit on the metallic side. I think they add flair to a simple look. What do you think?

Insomnia Solution

I am the world's lightest sleeper and REALLY particular on whats needed to help make me fall asleep. It has to be PITCH black, absolutly no noise, I need 2 blankets and 1body pillow. Even then I still have trouble falling asleep. So I decided to take action and find something to help me. I did research and found that the scent of lavender calms and soothes you, making you want to go to sleep. I went to bath&body works and they led me to the aromatherapy selection. Found 2 scents with lavender in them one with chamomile and the other with vanilla. I liked both but chose lavender chamomile. This is what the spray claims to do

Aromatherapy
Concentrated Room Spray
Sleep - Lavender Chamomile

Sleep well. Lavender Essential Oil soothes and calms so you can sleep better. Chamomile Essential Oil has a lulling effect to enhance sleep.

On-the spot or on-the-go, our Concentrated Room Spray gives a lasting burst of fragrance
Perfect to use at home, the office, a hotel room, or any space you wish to fragrance instantly
400 hours of amazing scent in each little bottle

I have used it for about 5 days now and must say it does help. Definetly find myself sleeping faster and in a much more deep state than usual. Hopefully when Im not soo pregnant it will make me sleep longer as well. 3 bucks well spent!!!!!!!! I will buy another one and try the lavender vanilla as well. It really made me want to check out the whole entire aromatherapy collection.

Reviews

I was intrigued by this item because I needed a quick make up routine when i take my son to the park or just have an errand to do. I have MAC black track fluidliner and LOVE it but its soooooo time consuming. This eyeliner is amazing. Its really black which I like and even though its metallic on the label its not at all when you put it on. So other than the false advertisment I really love this product. It stays on all day and doesnt smudge as long as your eyes arent watery. So its not the best liner for putting on your waterline. Not only will I buy this product again I want to get it in every color I can find it in!! It cost about $5.99 at my CVS.

I like to use Dream Mousse blush in Rose Petal for when Im on the go. It gives a nice flush glow. The texture reminds me of whip cream. It blends nicely but I would recommand using a brush so it goes on less splotchy. The one thing I dont like about this product is that it does have glitter. I was hoping it have more of a shimmer. It also makes for a great base for other blushes, not just a berry pink ALL pinks. I will buy this product again.

A Duo No More

As my due date gets closer and closer its starting to hit me that Im going to be a mother of 2. As thrilled as I am to meet my daughter, its a little sad that my son and I wont be this duo anymore. Its been him and I for such a long time its going to be weird adding another member in our club. We have this special bond him and I. He tries to mimick me a lot and we always dance together. We take naps, sing songs and read books. He is my favorite subject to take photos with, he is such a lil model. My fave moments have been us just watching tv and cuddling. I know there are still going to be moments like these, It will just be different.

Well my readers I introduce to you my son Evan

Wearble Blue

Who says you cant wear blue eyeshadow? Who? Not me. I think blue makes my color of eyes stand out and awakens my face. To wear blue eyeshadow is to be subtle about it. Dont overwhelm your whole lid with it and dont wear it alone! All I did was place it on my lash line and darken up the outer edges with a almost black color. Then put black eyeliner on my water line.

On my face:
Mary Kay Foundation-Ivory 104
Mary Concealer-Yellow
Mary Kay Blush-Salmon

On my Eyes:
Coastal Scents 88 palette-Bright Blue and the the darkest shade
Loreal Volumnious Mascara
Milani Eyeliner

On my lips:
Revlon Colorburst in Soft Nude
Revlon lipgloss

Pop of Blue

To do something different with a neutral look I decided to add a pop of color on my bottom part of the eyelid. I tried to match the blue of my dress. I went really light on the eyeliner and did a dark brown the crease to add definition. Was EXTREMLY easy to do. I think it could work with other colors as well. Green, purple, and hot pink!

50's Housewife For A Day

I dont know if its because of my nesting stage or what but yesterday was definetly the first for me. I woke up at 6 in the morning and started cleaning. Just doing the dishes and laundry. My son wasnt up yet so I decided to go back to sleep after I had finish. It was 9 and he still wasnt up so I decided to make breakfast. Then took him to the park. It was fun but REALLY windy. Decided to come home and make dinner. I was looking through an old recipe book my mom had and came across the meatloaf she used to make. I was intrigued and it didnt seem that hard to make. Which came out to be true. As a side I made mashed potatoes with brown gravy. For the first time ever I had made something like my mother! It tasted soooooooooooo good. I really wanted to bake a cake but didnt have mix or enough ingredients to make from scratch. Oh well. I have to give it up to those mothers from the 50's. Its not as easy as it seems.

New Dress

I bought a dress at Ross yesterday and wanted to share with you guys. It was a one size fits all even though it looks rather small but the material is stretchy. I LOVE it. Now to accessorize!
