Accent Color Disaster

It was no problem buying a bed that my husband and I both liked. It wasnt what I initially wanted but none the less content with my buy. We already had covers that are black and white. Now we are in search of an accent color. Something that will make the room POP! Red is just to obvious of an color. Plus that is the color of our living room. So I thought maybe a nice soft yellow, it would be soothing yet a touch of elegance. He wasnt having it. He said it was his least fave color. OK so I thought of a deep turquise, he loved that idea. So we were on a search for throws, pillows, etc. We looked EVERYWHERE!! That damn color was always with brown. I couldnt find curtains or anything. So now we are back to sqaure 1. And I thought of like a dark purple, fushia, or hot pink! Surprisingly enough he thought that would work. Purple is the color of royalty ;)....hehe. So now Im just scared of the colors working for a master bedroom? I dont want to make it feminine. I want it to be romantic yet modern. Guess Im going to put my interior designing skills to the test. Wish me luck!!!

  1. Have you thought about an orange? Like a deep blood orange. Or maybe a mint green?
Also, try looking on etsy.com for handmade/homemade stuff, a lot of times you can have the colors customized, and its pretty cheap! Good luck!

  2. Hi! Just came across your blog!:D

I personally think it's a bit feminine. I am taking up interior design, btw.

How about tangerine? It could be masculine and feminine at the same time and it has that pop.

Will now follow your blog, follow mine too?:D
